Partial Hospitalization

  • What is PHP?

A Partial Hospital Program (PHP) provides treatment for individuals with substance use disorders, including the misuse of alcohol, prescription drugs, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, or opioids such as Oxycontin or Percocet. As opposed to residential treatment, clients participate during the day, usually 5 days a week, and return to their home environment in the evening.

A PHP program is an intensive, therapeutic environment for clients who do not require 24-hour care yet need more structure than is available in outpatient treatment or private counseling. PHP is designed for those whose misuse of substances does not interfere with their ability to travel to a program each day and who are able to successfully manage their symptoms on their own.

PHP is often the transitional step following residential treatment however, you can enter PHP without going to residential treatment first. Insurance companies will work with the treatment program to determine the appropriate level of care for your individual circumstance

We Accept Insurance:

The cost of addiction treatment can prevent some people from seeking out the treatment they need. There are a variety of options that can help cover the cost of treatment, including:

  • State and locally funded addiction treatment programs
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grants.
  • Medicare and Medicaid
  • S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Many treatment programs may cost-prohibitive for a large number of people. As a result, many people who may be ready to get help for their addiction put off treatment, which means that those people may decide to not get help at all. To make sure that treatment is attainable when it is needed, there are public assistance options that can offer these people the financial support they need to begin the recovery process.
